Out of School Music Classes Invercargill are held at our host school, Southland Girls' High School. Saturday morning classes run from 8.45 am - 12. 45 pm. Please refer to the Timetable page for class times and rooming allocations.
The OSMC office is located at the east wing exit (the old Tweedsmuir Intermediate building entrance). The office is open on Saturdays only from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.
Resources and equipment such as reeds, theory books, and recorders can be purchased through the main office (cash only or added to your account). Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions page for a full list of items available for purchase.
Friday musicianship recorder classes are held in Room 5 at Salford Primary School from 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm.
Room 5 can be accessed by entering the school from Lamond Street East. It is the first class on your left when you walk along the pathway past the staff car park (as shown in the map below).
On-street parking is available only (on Lamond Street East and Salford Street).
Friday musicianship percussion, keyboard, and ukulele are held at Southland Girls' High School.

Off-street parking is available at the end of the East Block only (the parking area in front of the Music Suite as per the picture below).
Advanced violin and string ensemble classes are held in the Staffroom at Southland Girls' High School.
The advanced violin class runs from 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm and string ensemble from 5.00 pm - 6.00 pm.

Classes are held in the main practice room (M2) at the James Hargest College Senior Campus Music Department (M Block) from 5.00 pm - 6.30 pm. Please refer to the Timetable page for class times.
M Block is on your left as you enter the final entrance to the campus (located on Layard Street just before the intersection with Racecourse Road).
Off-street parking is available only (on Layard Street directly outside the entrance to the school by M block).
Whānau are welcome to wait in the seating area in the foyer while their child has their lesson.
